    Hello Lynda,

    it’s still me, now through week 6 of “xc cat 1 build peak and race”. I haven’t trained since week5 day 6 (one full week tomorrow), because of a flu. Coughing, shortness of breath, headache, just some little fever. I usually don’t get sick, so if I stopped training it means that I was really off. I think tomorrow I can start training again (supposedly week6 day5). I am aware that 5-8 weeks is the most important block in the training plan, and I don’t want to mess everything up just because of a stupid flu.

    – Where should I pick up my training from?

    Hello Lynda,
    Eventually I didn’t race on week4day7 and managed to do the test.

    BUT my A event on week 12 was rescheduled from 5th april to 1st may.this means 4 weeks further. So now, i am about to start week 5, what am i supposed to do?

    Yes there is, but since i am supposed to include the test in that ride, should i perform the test during the race??

    Hello Lynda,
    I am currently at week 9 of “category1 base training base plan”, unfortunately I had to skip several training bike days this week because of extra work shifts and terrible weather. I barely made up 40min tempo on rollers. Feel like I have my recovery week 8 stretched for 2 weeks. My main race is on 5 april. I intend to follow with build peak and race plan. What do you suggest for next week (23-29 december): should I start again with week 9 or go with weeek 10? Thanks!!

    Hello Lynda,
    Hope you are doing fine. I had to skip training on days 1,2,3,4 of week6, because of a fever. So my last training was hilly ride week5day7. I think my body is well enough to restart training tomorrow. Where I should pick up my training from?

    a question about “week5 day6 40′ tempo”, is it on a flat road or climbing?

    thank you for your reply.
    Another question for you:

    Monday will be “WEEK 3 day6 4hour mtb advanced skills” (cat1 Base) but the weather is going to be awful that day. What do you think if I swap day5 (endurance spinning and core training) with day 6? so I have: day 6 (mtb), day 5 (endurance+core), day 7 (big gear climbs).
    I really don’t want to miss the 4 hours mtb ride, and don’t want to cut it short on the trainer.
