ParticipantHi Lynda,
After racing the bontrager 24/12 last year in a team, i'm entered this year in the 12hr solo Late July, as well as this I'm riding the Kielder 100mile race in early Sept. Last year in my allocated 6hrs I managed 5laps (around fifty miles) this was with little or no training. It hurt!
So I've got 20weeks until the 12hr and 26 weeks until the 100miler.
I can currently ride for around 30miles without too much trouble (around 3hrs riding depending on surface), but I do only have limited time for training. 1 long session per weekend and 2 midweek efforts is about all i'm likely to fit around my work.
I've got events of 60km, and two 100km events prior to the 24/12.
Which plan would be best for me?
Hope you can help!

KeymasterNick,
I don't have a training plan for a 12 hour race that is as low volume as you desire. Your best option would be to follow the 12 Hour Solo Mountain Bike Race Finisher plan with some personal customizations as follows:
This plan has three weekday rides scheduled. You would drop the Tuesday ride each week to fit your schedule. Tuesday is a recovery day on most weeks and you can use passive rest instead of an active recovery ride. In weeks number 1 and 7, Tuesday is a test day so you should bump that to Wednesday or miss out the regular Wednesday ride.
On each weekend two rides are scheduled. The longer of the two rides is the priority ride and you would drop the other ride off the plan.
On the weekends you have races you can do those instead of the scheduled rides.
