Hi all, hope everyone had a good weekend. Quick question: I’m thinking of signing up for a fatbike 50K in the Spearfish valley of South Dakota in March. The 50K distance is more like a standard cross country distance rather than marathon or endurance, but because it’ll be in the snow, the 50K will likely feel like more. I’d expect I can do it in somewhere between 2:45 and 3:15 or so, but depending on conditions.
What do you think for plans? Should I approach this like an XC race, or approach it like an endurance race? Race date is March 16, I believe.

I recommend approaching it like and endurance race.
