DaveKeymasterHi Linda:
I purchased your 50 mile finisher on March 14. Started training on schedule
and things were going well until this past week when i have been flat on my back
with bronchitis. To complicate matters, I'm due to travel this weekend when the
“big ride” slated was for 4 hours. What adjustments should I make? Thanks

KeymasterHave you recovered from bronchitis? Do you have any fluid left in your lungs? Did you cough today?
You have to be fully recovered before you can re-do the plan.
What week # of the plan were you supposed to be on this week? Do you have any extra weeks in your schedule before your 50 miler race?

KeymasterAargh – sorry to hear you are still coughing and have fluid in your lungs. Don't train with any fluid in your lungs or if you are still coughing. Don't get your HR above zone 1 in this state. I am SURE you are tough enough to train sick but don't do it!! I have seen over and over again (and done it once myself) bronchitis turn into pneumonia by breathing hard wile you have fluid in your lungs and are coughing.
