MemberHi Lynda,
I'm currently in 7 of the Cross Country Time Crunched Expert Base Plan. Today I was to complete F1c for 3.5 hours of long hills. I arrived at today feeling great, and well rested. Due to snow and extreme cold The last 3 days have been on the trainer as have been the last 3 weekends.
Once on the trainer I tried to tough out the 3.5 hours but could only make it through an hour of simulated long climbs before my legs quit on me. I was well rested and have not felt fatigued. I did have a light breakfast which I'm sure didn't help. However I could not hold a zone 3/4 HR today. My guess is it was probably lack of motivation and insufficient meal preparation on my part. Next weekend shoudl be warmer which will allow me to get out for that ride. My concern is that this is two weekends in a row I have not been able to complete the full long ride. Last weekend I was only able to complete 2 hours due to a schedule conflict. Should I be concerned and make the hours up elsewhere? I do have opportunity to add some additional riding into my schedule in the next 2 weeks especially since warmer weather is approaching.
Thanks,

KeymasterHeart rate doesn't come up when you are carrying fatigue.
For now I recommend you forget about the missed ride time and move forward with the schedule as is.
