ParticipantHey there! Just started the cat 1 build/peak/race plan. Very excited! I do have a question though.
I'm a new cat 1 rider and have only been riding mtb for one season, cycling in general for 2 seasons. I still need a lot of mtb skills work.
For racing, I drive 3+ plus hours from home and there is plenty of technical stuff on the courses. However, where I live we really only have one technical place to ride and it's not one that can be ridden fast (by me anyway!). It's just too rocky but it has bridges and good mix of pick-up features and other things I'm not great at yet. I need the practice.
Is there a way to fit a tech/skills ride into the plan? I'm not sure which ride, if any, I would need to change. I was thinking the Tues pedal/skills but I need those too!! Any guidance is greatly appreciated 🙂

KeymasterPut tech skills time into every warm up and cool down session that you can, especially on the longer weekend rides. On Saturday spend at least one hour of the ride time working on tech skills.
