ParticipantHi Lynda
I have started Masters Cross Country Base Training Plan again , and I cant remember if I have asked this before , in regards to the “Tech skills refined: Observe, visualize, ride, rest, refine, repeat” sessions , the trails where I would need to practice such features have some punchy wee climbs to get to the start of the trails . and to ‘session’ these over an hr it could mean many repeats of them .
(they are short – maybe 2- 5 minute climbs)Is this going to be to the detriment of other training days if I’m doing these repeated short climbs in what will likely be Z3-4 when the goal other than skills is aerobic base ?
Thanks alot
Dave

KeymasterHi Dave,
Yes, repeated punchy climbs will be a detriment to other training days. Find a location where you can keep your intensity lower. Parking lot skills, bike park or mellower trails are good options.
