MemberHi Lynda – I have bands (for legs & arms), ankle weights, dumbbells, a barbell set and a stability ball at home. Can I use my home equipment to emulate some of the gym workouts? I’m not sure what I’d do in place of pull up’s or lat pull downs, for instance. I’m fairly good at improvising, because I used to be a personal trainer, and we were taught to use machines as little as possible. However, I obviously can’t use as much weight at home …

KeymasterStrength training at home is great with the right equipment and some creativity.
For pull ups get a climbers hang board or a pull up bar. Alternately you can lie under a table, grab the edge of the table and pull your chest up to the table. The goal is to work the back.
