Trent
MemberJust purchased Masters 40+ Base plan and have a question regarding the strength training. I have been strength training at least twice per week (up to 4 times per week in the winter) as part of my routine for years. I do lots of core, body weight, plyometric stuff and recently started working with the TRX system. (Don't lift actual weights much as the shoulders don't care for it anymore.) Am I correct in assuming that, based on my history, I can skip the adaptation phase and immeidately start into the power phase? If I do that, do I just stay in the power phase for an extra 3 weeks or do I do the power phase as outlined and stay in the max strength phase for an extra 3 weeks? I am going to have to modify the exercises anyway since I can't do much that asks me to lift things over my head.
Thanks

KeymasterTrent,
Definitely modify all exercises to fit your personal needs. I recommend sticking to the periodization schedule as it falls in sync with the riding part of the plan too.
