MemberI was doing 3x22min threshold intervals for week 3, day 4 of CTR plan. I use a power meter.
It was a struggle to hold target power and my HR was 10bpm lower than usual during threshold interval. I have a feeling stress and lack of rest this week took a toll. I pulled the plug on the workout half way into 2nd interval.
1) Was this the right thing to do? Or is it better to just push through on a hard day like this?
2) Is HR a valuable guide here, or not really?
Thanks a lot, Pat

KeymasterAlways pull the plug and start the recovery process when you can't hit your targets.
When you are struggling and tired, HR is usually depressed so that information adds to the conclusion you need more recovery not more training right now.
