MemberOn the 50 PR plan. The weeks seem to be broken down into Tues. & Thurs, harder days. We have a local short track race series starting this week on Wed. nights. Do you recommend doing this and switching the week around to accommodate? If yes what's the best way to restructure?

KeymasterShort tracks are great training. When you add a Wed short track to your schedule take out one if the week day interval sessions. Weeks 1-3 take out the Wed session. Weeks 5 and 8 take out the Thurs session. All other weeks take out the Tues session.

Participanton that note, I am also doing the 50 PR plan, and am currently on week 7. I want to add a xcountry race or a crit in every week. I noticed on the saturdays, the races are no longer on the schedule. Is it still okay to do that as noted above? would I be missing a critical training element if I do that every week?

ParticipantThis week, the criterium race is tomorrow, (saturday), but on June 5th, there is a short, (1 hour race), and June 9th, a regular xc race. I would like to throw in those tuesday short, 1 hour races here and there…just dont want to screw up my plan. My main goal is, of course the 50 milers.
Thanks.
