ParticipantSo a couple more specific questions on this plan for me:
1) When you prescribe “offroad steep climbs”, how long a duration is this?, is this granny gear steep?

Keymaster1) This depends on what you have available and what you have in your goal event. Match the length of your goal event climbs as closely as possible. Training on the race course itself is perfect if it is accessible.
2) Even power from start to finish. Your HR should take about 30 – 60 seconds to climb into HR zone 5 after the start of the interval due to natural heart rate response lag time.
3) After Dark Horse drop the first 2 weeks of the plan and repeat it starting out with week #3. This has you starting back with a recovery week.
Thanks for organizing your questions so well. It makes it easier for me to answer when they are clear.
Good luck in your training!
