ParticipantHi coach Lynda, I just competed in the CTR, had to drop out 339 miles in due to a strained hamstring. I was planning on doing the trans north Georgia on August 18th. Any tips on recovery and recovery from my injury in preparation for TNGA? I did your 12 week base plan, 12 week cat 1 build and peak plan and the ctr plan this year. Other than the hamstring,
I feel pretty good. Thanks, Tristan - August 6, 2018 at 9:31 am #18629

KeymasterHi Tristan,
Bummer you had to drop out of CTR but great job getting 339 miles in. CTR is such a beautiful and brutal race! The best things for your strained hamstring are rest, sleep and a nutrient dense diet full of fruit, veggies and antioxidant rich foods. Once it feels better, start back with some light stretching and light riding.
TNGA is coming right up. 339 miles of CTR will both build fitness and require recovery. You don’t need another long ride before TNGA. Focus on recovery and starting TNGA at full health.
