ParticipantHi Lynda,
I’m going to start training for another Utra on April 26th and can’t seem to get the plan finder to work. I’m 46 and time crunched and the event is 270 miles. I’ve bought many of your plans I just wasn’t sure when to start them etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Scott

KeymasterHi Scott,
Tell me more about your Ultra. MTB or gravel? Elevation gain? Goal finish time? Do you plan on sleeping at night?
Are you still feeling over-trained?

ParticipantHi Lynda,
Thanks for getting back to me. It’s gravel, about 25K of gain and I’d like to finish as fast as possible. Perhaps around 24 hours or under, hopefully closer to 22. I don’t plan on sleeping. I’m feeling much better!
Thank you!

ParticipantLynda,
After looking closer at it I’d like to finish around in around 20 hours.

KeymasterHi Scott,
I recommend starting next week on 12/9 with a Base training plan. Either our 40+ Masters Cross Country Mountain Bike Base Training Plan or Category 1 TIME CRUNCHED Cross Country Mountain Bike Base Training Plan. Choose the latter if you are very time crunched. Follow all 12 weeks of this plan.
Then progress on to our 24-Hour Solo Mountain Bike Personal Record Mountain Bike Training Plan. Start this plan at week #4 and follow it to week 12 and a peak at your 4/26 Ultra.
