KeymasterPat,
I'm not familiar with your races so would like more information on them:
What duration are the Jan-Feb dirt crits?
What duration are the May- Aug XC races?
What duration are Club Champs in September?
What duration are State Champs in November?
This all looks like a reasonable volume of racing.
Are these all mountain bike races?
Are you racing with gears or single speed?
What is your age?
What is your race experience?

MemberHi Lynda
The Jan-Feb crits are 45 mins in duration
April 50km
May-August up to 3 hours
Club/state champs are world cup style races 2 hours
I’m racing mountain bikes with gears, I’m 30 years of age.
I’ve competed in cycling/triathlon to ironman distance. Had the last two years off racing so just keeping in shape during the last two years with running/cycling.
Thanks
Pat

KeymasterPat,
Here is how I recommend you stack the training plans for your season:
Dec 10th start the Category 1 Cross Country Mountain Bike Base Training Plan and follow weeks # 1-6
Jan 21st start the 50 Mile Mountain Bike Race – Personal Record Plan and follow weeks 1-12 ending with an endurance peak at Wombat 50 -April 14, B Priority.
April 15th take a week off for recovery
April 22nd start the Category 1 Cross Country Mountain Bike Base Training Plan at week # 5 and follow it through to the end of the plan week #12
June 17th take a week off plan for recovery or catch up on a missed week of training
June 24th start the Category 1 Cross Country Mountain Bike Build, Peak and Race Training Plan and follow it through to week #12 and a peak at Club Champs – September – Date TBC A Priority.
Repeat the end of Category 1 Cross Country Mountain Bike Build, Peak and Race Training Plan timing it so week #12 falls on State Champs – November – Date TBC
A Priority for a second cross country peak.Lynda
