Hi, Successfully completed Base Training Plan, very pleased with results.
Starting next phase of training as advised, I was thinking that I have noticed my eye sight and reaction times are getting slower for mountain biking, as I am getting older, any tips or link to training the “mind” to help counteract my aging.
Obviously in addition to the practice skill sessions, which do really help.

The best thing you can do to increase your reaction time is to get 8 hours of sleep per night and a 30 min nap in the afternoon. Sleep is key. After that, getting on your bike in technical situations and keeping your skills sharp is the next best thing. This specific MTB skills practice is scheduled into all of the Masters 40+ MTB training plans – so that is great you are already doing this.

Practice really makes a difference, from a running background it felt alien to start with.
Next one of your plans stated now for more speed!
Any thoughts on multi vitamins, now my intensity will be rising as a nutrition back up.. i.e which brands do you recommend .Can email me if u wish.

Prior to supplementing, I recommend confirming you are getting the correct nutrients through your diet. LW Coaching partners with Apex Nutrition and R.D. Kelli Jennings for professional nutrition consulting. We have Kelli’s eBook Fuel Right Race Light available for purchase here. This is the #1 resource for nutrition for racers. I highly recommend getting a copy and following all her advice.
