I am at the end of Week #8 50 miler finisher. I had to take a week off for a cortisone injection in my hip (which did not work) and I have no restrictions at this point.
Should I just get back on schedule? This weekend is a 4.5 hr ride and I am not very confident I can finish that on the actual race course (due to lack of fitness and lack of saddle time) but I might be able to do it on an easier course. What would you recommend?

Sorry to hear the cortisone injection did not work 🙁
Get back on schedule but shorten the day 7 ride to 3 hours this weekend and do it on the race course if you can.

Thanks. It might be time to reconsider the race. I see another specialist on Friday and todays ride was not great. I felt really sluggish and tired, pedaling with one leg 🙁 If I do back off on the race, I was going to switch to the base training plan.
