      Hi Lynda,

Just want to let you know how much I've enjoyed your training plans and the support you provide to your athletes.

Last Thursday I headed to Atlanta for a bike fit on Friday. I really wanted to get the fit but was nervous about doing it the day before a 6 hour race. Got fitted and started my drive to Wilkesboro, NC. I arrived too late to pre ride the course.

Saturday morning I got registered, ready, and warmed up just before the riders meeting. I arrived to the start a little later than I should have (but still nearly 20 minutes early) and was behind 100+ other racers. To top it off, my Garmin (fully charged the night before) wouldn't turn on. Finally got it reset but the low battery indicator immediately came on. Guess I'm going to do this race by feel. It lasted the first lap.

I felt really good during the race. Without the garmin I wasn't sure if I was pushing too hard or not hard enough. My guess is a little of both, depending on where I was on the course. The race was 6 Hours of Warrior Creek and the trail was amazing.

I ended up in 10th place out of 49 in solo open male. 70 miles with an estimated 12,500' of climbing. I'm from flat south Florida so I'm pretty happy with that.

      Can't wait to resume training!

Thanks for the race report and kind words. Congrats on a strong performance! Racing well despite a late arrival and a dead Garmin is pro! Nice work.
