Thanks Lynda, smashed over 2 hours off my time from 2016, the conditions helped a bit but mainly due to the training plan. ( Missed 2017 due setting up my new business (mountain bikers accommodation in Scotland) and was not fresh on the start line that year so erred on the side of caution.
Still waiting for the official results, but was aiming for a prize for knocking so much time off.
The Event is a 200km gravel ride with over 12000 feet of climbing around Kielder Forest in the Uk.
Pretty rough a MTB may have been more appropriate in places.
Elapsed time 2016 15 hours 7 mins, moving time 13 hours
Elapsed time 2018 12 hours 48 mins moving time 11hours 44
Managed to keep moving and not stop too much!! - April 23, 2018 at 8:38 am #18292
Hi Graham!
Congrats on a 2 hour PR – that’s huge!! Great to hear your hard work paid off! Nice.
Send me a link to your MTB accomodations! lynda@lwcoaching.com We have an LW team headed over there in Oct for the 24 hour MTB World Champs and are setting up travel plans right now!
Thanks for your note – always awesome to hear about athletes smashing their goal events 🙂
