KeymasterOuch!!
You are so darn close to taper time for CTR that you have the fitness in the bag. These last few weeks are more about getting your race plan and gear dialed in.
If your ribs are OK to ride on the road do all the hours this week on the road. Do it on your CTR race bike for bike-adaptation hours and more comfort too.
If your ribs hurt too much to ride on the road, try the trainer and cut the hours way back. If you can't ride at all then take the week off. Spend this week doing more logistics homework and research. Do all the busy work with maps, packing lists, food, gear, PO drops etc
Dave is out racing the Dixie 311 today. He'll post more when he gets back if he has anything else to add.
Heal fast. You have time to heal this before the race. To speed recovery look after it! Don't do anything that hurts. Give it rest. Avoid Ibuprofen and other NSAIDS which may slow bone healing.
