I noticed you do Crossfit, Lynda.

Do you feel that for strength days with your riding plans Crossfit is a good thing to do? Maybe 2 – 3 times a week?  I've never done it, but there is a local gym and everyone there seems so… strong.  🙂

Or would rock climbing perhaps be a better option?  We have an indoor climbing gym here, too.

Just want to keep things fun…

In regards to the plan I'll be doing, last year I did the 100mile PR plan, and this year I'd like to do the Breck32 (so I guess I'll be doing the 50 mile plan).

(Sorry if you've posted about this somewhere else, but I wasn't able to find a thread in the forums about this!)

The programming at Crossfit is too random to be used along with a structured training plan. It will make you stronger if you avoid injury. It will not make you faster on the bike. I do not recommend Crossfit if your goal is to be a fast bike racer.

Rock climbing is a far better option.

      Hi again!

Just now realizing I should have doublechecked with you before I purchase the plan: Is the 50 miler plan the one I should follow if my goal race is the Breck32?

      Thank you!

Yes, that is a good plan for Breck 32.
