ParticipantHi Lydna,
Currently using your 100 km Mountain Bike Race Personal Record Plan. Just completed my first race of the year and I'm starting my recovery week before doing week 12 again followed by another race. My question is if it would be okay to do some cross training during my recovery week like maybe some running, swimming, kayaking, etc since I still want to try to cut some more weight, or should I just relax so not to cause over training?
Thanks,
Nathan
PS After using your plan for the third year and cutting a quite few pounds I placed first in my age group of 30-39 and 19th overall in the Voodoo Fire. Yep, love the plan! Thanks for all you do! Still lots of work to do to up that overall ranking, but we're getting closer.

KeymasterLow intensity cross training will be great. Walking or easy running or any other low intensity aerobic activity before breakfast while you are in a glycogen depleted state is good to do during a recovery week when you are still trying to cut weight.
Congrats on your win at Voodoo Fire. That is most excellent!!
