ParticipantYou answered a question for me on the Sorella Cycling Facebook page about 2 hours ago but I had another question. Here is the initial exchange:
Hi Linda, if you could point to one drill or method that would make me a better climber on the MTB and on the road what would it be? I've read so much about becoming a better climber but I have yet to find a simple, “here do this” type of answer. Any suggestions?
LW Coaching Kimberly – 4 x 3 minute intervals up a steep hill with 3 minutes rest between intervals is a good workout to develop climbing speed. Dropping weight on yourself or your equipment is the best method to climb faster if you have some to drop.I can surely lose a few lbs of body weight which is probably more likely since I doubt I will invest the $ to lighten my current ride (I'm in the market for a new one). In terms of the workout you suggested, how often should I do it? - July 5, 2012 at 11:48 am #6971

KeymasterHow often you should do the workout really depends on the rest of your plan and your goals but a general rule of thumb would be once per week.
