      Lynda,

      Finished my first Leadville in 9:39 using you Masters Base Program and then your Masters 100 miler. All went really well as previously described in my earlier post entitles Leadville 100. On 8/18 I did a 79 mile mtn bike ride with 7500 ft of climbing and felt pretty good.

      I want to carry this fitness a little longer and I’m planning on doing the above race 9/8. My plan right now is to use week 9 for this week, week 11 for next week, and week 12 for the race week. I feel good. Today I did 3/4/5 openers and felt great.

      How does that plan sound for finishing the season with The Barnburner on 9/8?

      John,

      Following the Masters 40+ 100 Mile Mountain Bike Personal Record training plan, I recommend this week follow week 10 then 11 then 12 for Barnburner race week.
