Me too – I'm racing co-ed 5 person open at OP – see you there. I'll be at AZT also so we are on the same plan! Come and find me and say Hi in person. My OP team is JMM (or maybe Jack Mormon Militia)

Toss out all your scheduled workouts for OP weekend and do this instead:

Thur – Day off. Rest day. Travel day.

Fri – Ride 1 lap of the course. Use the first 20 mins as warm up, next 20 mins ride at a moderate speed with a focus on dialing in your cornering, tire and shock pressure for the

OK….one more question. I typically ride to work 1 day a week. Pretty flat. 20 mins of lights and then 5 miles of fairly uninterrupted canal paths then traffic again. 16 miles each way, normally takes me 1:20ish with a light-ish commuter load.

Can I work this into the plan? Maybe as a replacement of the day three rides? At L2?

I would consider myself technically adept so that aspect shouldn't be a factor.

      Thanks!

      Day 3

Ride mostly technical single track. Keep the effort level moderate and relaxed the entire ride. Focus on riding smooth, seeking an effortless state of navigating the tough sections of trail. Nothing forced, riding with full awareness of bike and trail. Increase the trail challenges as your skills progress. Stop just short of crashing – crashing is not good for mojo or bones. Power doesn't play a large role in this ride; keep HR under the top of Z3.
