ParticipantHi Lynda,
I cannot seem to choose between the PR and finishers plan for Breck Epic. I plan on doing it SS and want to be in the best possible shape so that I can deal with the altitude and racing stress as best as possible, so I’m leaning towards the PR plan, even though my goal is to ‘just’ finish and have a stinkin’ good time while racing.
In the preview of the plan though, I’m a bit intimidated by the long hours on the weekend and overall training load. Then again, looking at the finishers plan, I think I could do more than what’s prescribed there, and I really enjoy pushing myself hard in training.
Could you help me decide? Could I do the PR plan and perhaps (slightly) reduce the long ride on the weekend, knowing full well it would hinder my top performance, but might still put me in better shape than the finishers plan?
Argh…decisions decisions! Looking forward to your thoughts; thanks as always!

KeymasterMaakie,
I recommend following the PR plan. Breck Epic is a really challenging event to finish SS and the PR will get you there better prepared for this.
