Lynda – I have a vacation planned for Week 11 of the plan (I’m in week 5 of the plan). Any suggestions as to how to adjust the plan to address the vacation? I may be able to bring a bike along on vacation, but time will be limited.

I should add that after the Base plan, I plan to do the Masters 100 mile PR plan in prep for the Lumberjack 100 on June 17.

Will your vacation be restful or is it an active or stressful vacation?
If it is restful, you can swap weeks 11 and 12 and do your week 12 rest week while on vacation (miss out the test) and do week 11 when you are back home.
If it is a stressful or active vacation that you will come home tired from, I recommend missing out week 11 and doing week 12 rest week when you come home.

Thanks, Lynda – the vacation will be active and stressful (Disney + College visits)…so I will skip week 11 and move on to week 12. If I feel good, should I pick up week 11?

Honestly, every athlete I coach returns from Disney exhausted! Drop week 11, stay healthy at Disney and move on with week 12 when you return. Do not pick up week 11.
