ParticipantHi Lynda,
I just completed my second plan from you (the 6 Hour Solo MTB Finisher Plan) and exceeded my goals. I had a great race and have had nothing but positive results from following your plans. : )
My next big race is Syllamo's Revenge on May 18th. So far both plans I've used have been Finisher plans but this time I would like to try to focus on performing better so I intend on following the 100K Mountain Bike Race Personal Record plan. This plan won't start until February 25th, which is seven weeks away. What should I be doing in the next seven weeks to keep my fitness up and prepare for the 100K PR plan? And how much time should I take off to recover from my big race this past Saturday? I'm already itching to get back on the bike but I know after a 12-week build some rest in in order.
Thanks again. One year using your plans have given me fitness I never thought I'd see in my forties. : )

KeymasterThanks for the kind words about my plans and congrats on your results.
After your 6 hour solo, take a week off training. Then follow it with a week of recovery focused short rides.
1/28 start the 100 km Mountain Bike Race – Personal Record Plan and follow weeks 1-4.
2/25 restart the 100 km Mountain Bike Race – Personal Record Plan at week #1 and follow it to a peak at Syllamo's.
