      Hi Lynda,

I'm doing the 6hour PR plan. Last night I completed week 3, day 4. I felt decent on the warmup but had a hard time staying in heart rate

      Bryan,

Fatigue depresses heart rate. This is normal to see in the 3rd week of a training block. This affects some athletes more than others. Sounds like yours is affected. When this occurs heart rate becomes less useful and PE is the key metric to pace your workouts by if you don't have a power meter. It sounds like you *know* this is correct and are looking for confirmation. You are an intuitive athlete – nice work!!

      Bryan,

      1) Train with the zones set from you most recent test. Your most recent test says your heart is more powerful and needs to beat fewer times to make your body/bike go faster. That is a good thing!!

Thanks, Lynda! I (and I'm sure all of your athletes who post questions for you) really appreciate your help!

      You rock!
