Howdy! I signed up for the 24 hour mtn biking race plan…looks pretty good for me, I am a “senior” , are there suggested modifications that you may have? The event is a gravel ride .Thanks looking forward to training RockinA
As a senior, I recommend you add more recovery days and recovery weeks to the plan. Add a recovery week after weeks # 2, 6 and 10. This will stretch out your training plan to 15 weeks. If you do not have that many weeks in your schedule to your event, miss out weeks 3 and 7.
For additional recovery days each week, drop the ride scheduled each week on day 6 in favor of a day off.
