KeymasterInjury – bummer? Sorry to hear that.
Have you raced a 24 hour solo before?
Starting the 24 hour PR plan after 8 weeks of Base training is good. Starting it after this Cat 1: 12 week Base training plan is better.
After a 24 hour solo race you need a minimum of 3 weeks for recovery. If you killed it with a deep PR effort you need 5 weeks for recovery.
12 weeks between your *A* 24's translates to about 3 weeks for recovery, 6 weeks to train and 3 weeks to taper (the 3 week taper is built into the 24-hour PR plan but the 3 weeks post race recovery period is not). You cannot start the 24-hour PR plan the day after you finish a 24 hour race.
24 hour races can never be classified as *B* races. They are too big for that. Don't schedule a 24 as a *B* event. Doing that = fail.
3 x 24 hour races in 24 weeks can be finished but not raced at a PR level. I recommend choosing one to focus on. Two at the most.

KeymasterA 100 miler in week #7 of the plan is a great fit. That weekend there are two 6 hour back-to-back training days on the 24 hour PR mountain bike training plan schedule. Drop both of them and do the race instead.
