      Hi Lynda,
      I’m racing the Carrabassett Backcountry Challenge on 7/18. Mostly single track, roughly 32 miles, and about 3500ft elevation. Questions…
      1 – I have the 50 miler PR plan, is that the most effective plan for a 32 mile race?
      2 – The race is 19 weeks out and I was planning on doing 7 weeks of base and then the full 50 miler plan. How do I condense the 40 masters x-country base plan down to 7 weeks?
      3 – On sept 27th I’ll be racing the VT50, which is 10 weeks after Carrabassett. Should I just repeat the 50 miler plan? Which 2 weeks should I drop?

      Hi Dirtnap,

      I appreciate you numbering your questions 🙂

      1. Yes

      2. Weeks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 12

      3. Drop weeks 1 and 2. This puts you starting with week 3 on 7/20 which is a recovery week.
