ParticipantLynda,
I am thinking of doing the Lutsen 99er MTB race next year. I am looking at the 100 mile Finisher MTB training plan I bought from you in 2005 (holy moly I’m getting old). The longest ride in that plan is 5 hours. Is that still your suggested length for the longest ride in training for a 100 mile race?
As for my background, I’ve done tough gravel races (Iron Cross, ~100k, 7k vert, rocky single and double track) in the 6 hour range (for me) but have never done a 100 mile MTB race. Reading about the Lutsen 99er, it sounds like it may be similar to a technical gravel race.
Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

ParticipantSorry, I missed that there are rides of 6, 6.5 and 8 hours, so my question is kind of moot.
