Big congrats to Lynne Slivovsky for winning the 2016 Idaho Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400!! Awesome Lynne! We were stoked to watch your Trackleaders pink dot move steadily along the course and nail down the win through cold, snowy and wet conditions. You are one tough gal!!!
It was rainy and cold year leading to almost half of the field scratching. 33 racers finished and 26 racers scratched. Due to a fire, the course was rerouted onto harder terrain. It also had an extra 72 miles added to tally up to 472 miles – that makes for a long “400”!!
The Idaho Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400 is a 400ish mile self-supported mountain bike route traversing some of Idaho’s diverse geography on two-track, big gravel and dirt Forest Service roads, single-track and some paved roads.
