We are hopeful our NICA spring leagues can have a training and race season in 2021. With fingers crossed for all our student athletes, we have released our 2021 high school mountain bike team training plan. This is a plug-n-play plan including base training, skills training, trail ettiquete, mechanic practice (fix a flat!), recovery tips and of course the race specific training; intervals, starts and sprint practices.
This team plan covers your first-time mountain biker, all the way to your Varsity podium contender. Practice is divided into 6 groups (or tracks) based on experience and fitness levels.
Training starts early December 2020 and follows a progressive 24 week training plan to State finals in May 2021.
