Here is the broken collar-bone MTB indoor trainer plan to keep up your bike fitness while you are on the sidelines. This plan is available in TrainingPeaks format only. This plan can be used by an athlete with other hand, arm and shoulder injuries but is not recommended for hip, spine or any lower body injuries.
In July I raced BC Bike Race, a seven-day mountain bike stage race in BC Canada with great form winning 6 out of the 7 stages on an open mixed team.
A broken collar-bone means at minimum 2-3 weeks off everything. Then you can hop on the trainer, recoup your fitness losses and make some gains quickly with a specific and structured plan. This training plan leads you through those 6 weeks on the trainer and back out to the open road with fitness gains, not fitness losses.
